Versatile Pre-made Pouch Packing Machine for Multiple Bag Formats
Not every packaging operation can dedicate one machine to one bag style. Many small and medium sized producers run dozens of different products, each requiring a different bag type, size, or closure. Our pre-made pouch packing machine solves this problem by handling flat pouches, stand up pouches, zipper pouches, and even spout pouches on a single machine platform.
What Makes This Machine Different
While dedicated zipper pouch machines and stand up pouch machines excel at one bag type, our universal pre-made pouch machine sacrifices nothing in flexibility. The machine accepts pre-opened pouches from a cartridge magazine. Since the pouches arrive with the top already opened, the machine does not need to be tooled for different bag stiffness, gusset designs, or closure types. This design allows rapid changeover between entirely different bag families.
How It Works
The operator loads a stack of pre-made pouches into the magazine. The machine picks each pouch, uses a combination of suction cups and mechanical openers to ensure the bag is fully opened, and holds the bag while the filling station dispenses product. The filled bag then indexes to the sealing station. For zipper bags, a dedicated zipper sealing station precedes the top seal. For spout pouches, a spout feeding and capping station replaces the zipper station.
Bag Types This Machine Handles
Flat pouches without gussets are the simplest format, suitable for lightweight dry products. Stand up doypacks with side gussets are handled with no modification by adjusting the grip width. Zipper pouches with resealable tracks require the optional zipper sealing station but no changes to the bag handling system. Spout pouches with a plastic fitment require a different filling head but share the same base machine. Three side seal pouches and pillow bags are also compatible.
Quick Changeover Design
Changing from one bag style to a completely different style takes fifteen to thirty minutes. Key adjustments include magazine guides, grip width, fill height, and seal parameters. For operations with frequent changeovers, a servo driven model stores all settings for fifty bag types. Changeover becomes a push button operation completed in under two minutes.
Filling System Options
The machine accepts multiple filler types on a common mounting plate. Volumetric cup fillers work well for free flowing granules. Auger fillers handle powders with dust control features. Piston fillers are ideal for liquids and pastes. Multi-head weighers offer high speed combination weighing for irregular products. You can swap fillers in about thirty minutes, allowing one main machine to serve multiple production runs.
Speed by Bag Type
Throughput varies by bag style and product characteristics. Flat pouches with free flowing granules run fastest at sixty to one hundred pouches per minute. Stand up pouches with average density products run at forty to eighty pouches per minute. Zipper pouches run at thirty to sixty pouches per minute due to the additional zipper sealing step. Spout pouches with cap application run at twenty to forty pouches per minute.
Construction and Durability
The machine frame is welded steel with a stainless steel exterior. All bag contact surfaces are smooth, polished stainless steel to minimize friction and prevent bag damage. Grip jaws are made from food grade rubber with replaceable inserts. Drive motors are servo controlled for precise motion and long life.
Sealing System
Sealing parameters including temperature, pressure, and dwell time are adjustable through the touchscreen. Separate sealing profiles can be stored for different bag materials including polyethylene, polypropylene, laminate films, and foil lined bags. An optional cooling station improves seal integrity for heat sensitive products.
User Interface
A seven inch color touchscreen displays production data and machine status. Fault messages include suggested corrective actions. A production counter tracks shift totals and lifetime machine cycles. Recipe management allows operators to recall complete machine setups by product name.
Maintenance Requirements
Daily cleaning of the sealing bars and grip area takes five minutes. Weekly inspection of suction cups and air lines takes fifteen minutes. Monthly lubrication of pivot points takes ten minutes. Wear parts including suction cups, gripper pads, and seal tape are field replaceable without special tools.
